The grandson of Dutch immigrants, Brad has deep roots in the Fraser Valley. He was raised on the values of hard work, sacrifice, integrity and determination right here in Matsqui, British Columbia.

A long-time Conservative Party activist, Brad is committed to growing the Party in BC and across Canada by engaging youth in the political process, developing strong and principled policy and respectfully engaging in the democratic process to build stronger communities.

In 2002 he was Abbotsford Rotary Club’s Youth Ambassador.

He won the Deputy Minister’s Award for excellence in policy development in 2010, and his professional background includes communications, public relations and policy development. His passion for the agri-business sector is a direct result of his family’s farming heritage.

Brad holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a Master's Degree in Political Science from Carleton University.

Brad began his career in government and politics at the federal level. As Communications and Forward Planning Advisor to Abbotsford MP and Minister of International Trade, Ed Fast, Brad assisted in expanding trade opportunities for Canadian companies.

“I’m committed to ensuring our government is transparent, accountable and focused on the issues that matter most – safe streets, a strong economy and opportunities for our youth.  With these goals in mind, I’m working hard to earn your trust and your vote in Election 2019.”

Brad is happily married to Kathleen and together, they’re raising their son Declyn to believe that with hard work, integrity and sacrifice he can become anything he wants when he grows up.
